Kimberly Gehring-Cook has been Behringer-Crawford Museum's education director for the past eight years. Previously, she enjoyed teaching reading and art at Covington Latin School for 18 years. She has a BA in English and art, and a MEd in secondary education from Xavier University, Cincinnati, OH. One of Kim’s main interests is being out in nature, and this shows in her art, as her primary subject matter tends to be flowers, birds and animals. She loves to paint in oils, but has dabbled in acrylics, graphic design, drawing, intaglio printing, encaustic (wax/resin) painting, glassblowing (spun glass technique), ceramics and various fiber arts, as well as crystal engraving.

She lives in Westwood, OH with her husband of twenty-five years, their two college-residing daughters, and their rescue-Lab, Nyxie.
