Inspired by photos I took after a snowstorm, I have included 16 animals who call Devou Park home. The trees are full of hidden owls and hawks. Years ago, I brought a wounded screech owl which, had flown into the side of a Park Hills home, to a wild bird center. Currently, hawks have built a nest in my Mom's pine tree on Amsterdam Road. A few days ago my neighbor sent me photos of deer eating my hostas! Only a couple weeks prior, I called that same neighbor to tell her a red fox was on her back porch. Devou park is truly a sanctuary for wildlife!
