Medium: Acrylic on canvas

This is the Oxblood Lily. Its origin is South America, was introduced to the U.S. almost 150 years ago. The beauty of this flower is so powerful, against a black background it really shows. Petals are very slender and when the wind blows right, it takes on the illusion of a dancer.
