Bio: Susan Dodgson's interest in jewelry-making began years ago when a friend showed her how to re-knot a pearl necklace that had broken. "That motivated me to begin making beaded jewelry and since then has become one of my favorite pursuits. I taught chemistry for 30 years and I always was interested in how the elements were the basis of color in the semi-precious and precious gems." Dodgson has collected beads and fibers from all over the world. Her techniques are self-taught through experimentation. "I love to see how color and texture can combine to make something beautiful."
