Outer Dimensions: 11" x 14"
Medium: Screen Print
Inspired by 1950-60's Palm Springs architecture, neon signs, & vintage advertising, this piece is a 4-layer handmade screen print. This print symbolizes a different era that many people, including myself, often look back upon with such wonder & idealization. However, when inspired by something from a different period, I love the research process in which I can dive into the reality of the era as well as what design looked like during the period and what effect it had on society.
Bio: Laurel Howell is a graduate of the University of Kentucky where she majored in Digital Media & Design. While in school, Laurel discovered her love for the medium of printmaking, and is always looking for opportunities to learn & further her craft.
