Bio: Chris Kellogg ventured into making art with a goal of trying as many disciplines as possible & has 10 or so accomplished. But acrylics and pastels struck a strong chord & she has concentrated primarily on those. Her inspirations mostly emanate from her own and others' photographs. Her work is in private collections & was selected to hang in Kentucky's state capitol for a 6-month exhibit. The majority of her career was in state government in media relations & public affairs. She has served as director of the Carnegie (Covington) & in downtown development. An arts advocate, she was a long-time board member of the Kentucky Citizens for the Arts. She is the mother and daughter of musicians, and fervently believes that the arts are basic, and with more arts education in primary & secondary schools, fewer kids would end up on meds and in detention and juvie hall. Her personal philosophy is that no matter the attempt, art is basic & essential to health.
