2nd Place Winner!

Outer Dimensions: 11 1/2" h x 14 1/2" w
Medium: Oil on Wood
Description: "I've painted the view from the overlook at Drees Pavilion several times now. Each time I am amazed at how the perspective makes it look like a small train set. If you sit up here long enough you'll start to believe that you might be able to pick up the Radisson and place it in Mt. Adams!"

Bio: Brad Davis creates observational oil paintings that preserve and elevate Cincinnati’s urban landscape, focusing on overlooked architecture and city scenes on the verge of change. Working on-site with techniques rooted in American realism—drawing from painters like John Sloan, Edward Hopper, and Thomas Eakins—he captures layers of decay that reflect the city’s historical character.
He earned his BFA from the Art Academy of Cincinnati and MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. Davis explores the intersection of place-based visual and literary art through Plein Air Poetry, a collaborative project with his wife, the writer Alexandra McIntosh. His work has been exhibited internationally, including at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam and in the XL Catlin Art Prize traveling show, and is held in the permanent collections of the Union League of Philadelphia and Capitol One Bank.
