Bio: Christine graduated from the Columbus College of Art & Design 36 years ago, but her life's path as an artist started only a few years ago. She primarily paints landscapes in oil, preferring to paint en plein air, because she likes the immediacy of painting outdoors, the energy that comes from capturing the light & shadows before they shift, & most importantly noticing the subtle changes in color only her eyes can see. "Those subtleties are not captured with the use of a camera and/or using photo references, as the camera tends to condense the visual information. I do not intend to replicate what a camera does so easily & effortlessly. My intention is to express how I see & feel as I am experiencing the landscape before me."
