Outer Dimensions: 29 1/2" h x 27 1/2" w
Medium: Hand splattered with custom painted frame
Description: "I've been painting alongside my wife for years now but this year our grandkids were in town and we all got to spend the day in the park painting together. A few times they assisted in the creation of this piece, adding a splat here or a fingerprint there. As the day progressed, in addition to celebrating nature, the painting also became a celebration of family. This piece is a reminder that sometimes who you're creating with is just as important as what you're creating."

Bio: Billy Tackett began "splattering" with his bare fingers to enjoy the organic nature of his work & to eliminate brushes. The technique started out with landscapes & florals but was eventually mastered & expanded into portraiture & installation pieces.
"Each painting provides a new opportunity for me to eschew long-favored artistic practices & drives me to create my signature style. Faces emerge, fantastical images appear, and highly textured paintings & portraits that engage the public take shape. My art now represents a strong defiance of the traditional two-dimensional painting."
